We know how much our eyes can be stressed on a daily basis, between computer screens, phone screens and visual fatigue. That's why we offer you 4 simple and effective exercises to relax your eyes and give them a well-deserved moment of rest.
Exercise 1: The distant gaze
This exercise is ideal for relaxing your eyes after long hours spent in front of a screen. Make yourself comfortable and choose a fixed point on the horizon, as far away as possible. Concentrate on this point for a few minutes, blinking regularly. This allows you to use your eye muscles differently and relax them.
Exercise 2: Eye movement
Sit or lie down and start by rolling your eyes slowly clockwise and then counterclockwise. Repeat this exercise several times. You can also do up and down and left and right movements. This helps relax the eye muscles and improve blood circulation.
Exercise 3: Looking upwards
This exercise is particularly beneficial for relieving tension related to prolonged use of screens. Sit or stand with your back straight. Slowly raise your gaze upwards, keeping your head still. Hold this position for a few seconds, then slowly lower your eyes. Repeat the exercise several times.
Exercise 4: Blinking
Regular blinking is essential to maintain good hydration of the ocular surface. Unfortunately, when we are focused on a screen, we tend to blink less. So take a few minutes during the day to blink exaggeratedly, closing your eyelids completely. This will help stimulate tear production and refresh your eyes.
By practicing these 4 simple and effective exercises, you can relieve eye fatigue and give your eyes a well-deserved moment of relaxation. Don't hesitate to integrate them into your daily routine, whether at work or at home. Your eyes will thank you!
